How To Let Go Of Negative Energy

Ever wanted to let go of anger?

Perhaps you’ve got some resentment or complaint you want to release?

Normally when you’re confronted with an ‘upset’, meaning any form of negative energy i.e. anger, fear, worry, stress, guilt, resentment, hatred etc. etc. we either get caught in it or try to avoid it, repress it, suppress it or distract ourselves.

The problem with this, is that it just gets bottled up and may just explode out at some unexpected time. Like a volcano erupting all over your friends, family and loved ones.

One of the quickest ways to let go of negative energy, is by feeling it in the moment without label or judgement.

The saying goes ‘feel it to heal it’, now this is by no means an easy task, but it is possible with consistent practice and effort.

But how do we feel it in the moment? How do we not label or judge it? How do we not suppress it or repress it?

GRATITUDE.

‘I am grateful for this opportunity to let go of this negative energy.’

If you can re-wire your initial reaction to negative energy by applying the above statement, it will give you a moment to detach from the negativity and allow it to spend itself on your energy body.

So what the hell does that mean?

To let it spend on your energy body is like opening the top of a can full of gas and letting all the gas come out.

When negativity arises it is an opportunity to let go of it as you can now see it and feel it. You can’t let go of something you don’t know is there.

The events of life tend to bring up from within us what is already there.

If you squeeze an orange you get orange juice, if you squeeze a lemon you get lemon juice, if you squeeze an angry person you get angry juice – you get the idea.

So, to simplify the process:

1. Negative energy arises
2. Avoid labelling and judging the energy
3. Apply gratitude, ‘I am grateful for the opportunity to let go of this’
4. Let the energy (sensation) be on your body (this is letting the gas out of the can)
5. Let it go towards your highest spiritual intention i.e. love, peace, kindness, compassion

So we feel it, allow it to spend itself and let it go to a higher level energy.

This takes practice, but slowly and surely over time you will learn to re-contextualise any negative energy and use it as a springboard into higher levels of awareness, bringing you more peace, abundance and joy.
